Starting April 7th, 2014, Miss California will be touring the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Chongqing and Guangzhou as part of the third annual American Pistachio Growers (APG) Miss California China Tour.
During her one-week endeavor, Chinese consumers will get to meet Miss California 2013, Crystal Lee, and American Pistachio growers Mr. Gary Smith and Mr. Gary Robinson. They will share with Chinese consumers the nutritional health benefits of California Grown pistachios, describe the current and future of pistachio farming industry and assure why American pistachio are perfect for Chinese consumers.

“Unbleached, naturally open” American pistachios are loved by millions Chinese consumers. . It is the “Happy Nut” in China. The Chinese love a good omen, and food with a lucky-sounding name is particularly popular during holiday festivals. Today, American pistachios are widely found in many supermarkets across China. Miss California Crystal Lee and American pistachio growers Gary Smith and Gary Robinson will be meeting with Chinese consumers and promoting “American quality, California Grown” pistachios at five supermarkets: Lotus (Shanghai& Guangzhou), Ole’, Far East Department Store and CR Vanguard in Shanghai, Chongqing and Guangzhou. Chinese consumers will have the opportunity to taste the healthy and nutritious snack and have their photos taken with the beautiful Miss California and our pistachio growers.

Crystal Lee, the latest Miss California and ambassador of American Pistachio Growers, along with our pistachio growers will participate in a series of promotional events, sharing her very own beauty and health secrets with Chinese consumers.
