American Pistachio, the Nut That Energized Runners of the Paris Marathon

American Pistachio Growers samples were included in the goodie bags given to the participants of the 36th Marathon of Paris, the biggest running event in France which took place on April 15th, 2012. Each of the 38,000 participants were able to discover the health benefits and the great taste of American pistachios.

The American Pistachio made an appearance to take photos and pass out more samples to race participants and spectators. Hostesses with a baskets full of samples were among the crowded streets near the famous Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysées in Paris meeting with the public and offering them the great taste of American pistachios.

Commonly known as a delightful aperitif food, people were surprised to hear about the health benefits of pistachios. As for the runners, they highly appreciated the energy the pistachios gave them after running a marathon!
