American Pistachios Energize Fitness Enthusiasts in Italy

May was a very busy month for Italian sports lovers with two large fitness events taking place in Rimini and Genova. Both events drew sport lovers from all over Italy and Europe, and APG sample packs were there to welcome all.

Rimini Wellness Fair
In early May, the Rimini Wellness Fair energized Italy’s famous city of Rimini for four fantastic days. One of the largest fitness and wellness exhibitions in Italy, the event drew more than 200,000 sport lovers and professional and amateur athletes ready to experience new sports and wellness trends. The American Pistachio Growers’ booth was mobbed by the fitness enthusiasts hungry for American pistachio samples and nutritional information about America’s powerful little green nut. Needless to say, APG sample packs and brochures with pistachio nutrition and tasty recipes by Chef Omar Allievi couldn’t be passed out fast enough.

Festa dello Sport
Later in May, the Festa dello Sport transformed the city of Genova and its old harbor into an outdoor sports field where children, adults and families could experience up to 60 different sports including golf, soccer, diving, volleyball and basketball. During the event, American Pistachio, APG’s mascot, invited people who visited the APG booth to sample American pistachios and experience the positive health benefits of America’s little green nut.
