Pistachios, when eaten with high-carbohydrate foods, may result in lower than expected blood sugar levels, an important factor in reducing risk of diabetes.
1 package Cream cheese, softened
¼ cup Dairy sour cream
3 tablespoons each Powdered sugar and milk
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
1 teaspoon Grated lemon peel
Chopped natural American pistachios
Combine cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, milk, lemon juice and peel; blend until smooth. Prepare fruit pieces just before serving. Serve fruit to dip into cream cheese mixture then into pistachios.
