American Pistachio Growers celebrated the pistachio harvest by giving away pistachio sample packs at KMJ's 100th anniversary celebration at the Big Fresno Fair. KMJ's 100th Anniversary Party included comedian Paul Rodriguez and the Tower of Power, a rhythm and blues, soul and funk band, who were popular in the '60s and '70s. APG staff and their spouses distributed over 3,000 sample packs to concert goers.
