On May 10, a journalist event was held in Guangzhou, China by American Pistachio Growers to promote the post-exercise refueling benefits of American pistachios.
American Pistachio Growers partnered with Tencent Health channel, China's leading online video-media platform, for online shows featuring famous nutritionists and influencers to discuss the benefits of pistachios for people with desk jobs.
Researcher France Bellisle, who presented the session, said France's Institute Paul Bocuse concluded that a daily pistachio snack would not result in weight gain.
American Pistachio Growers exhibited at the KDA Nutrition Exhibition to promote the nutritional benefits of American pistachios. Over 1,100 nutrition professionals attended the exhibition.
Nearly 8,000 runners received a sample pack of pistachios in their goody bags in Italy’s Napoli Marathon in Naples, February 24 and Germany’s Bramfelder Winter Running Series, January 20 and February 17.

APG sponsored a journalist event, in January, with APG spokesperson Jan-Ole Hoffmann, and nutrition experts Dr. Ursula Manunzio and Dr. Wiebke Elsner at Munich’s ISPO 2019.
